MCSTS ... Operating on behalf of sixteen Mid Canterbury based schools. Those schools have jointly set up a company [Mid Canterbury School Transport Co.Ltd] to administer the finance and operations of school transport in Mid Canterbury.

About Us...

The MId Canterbury School Transport Service was set up to co-ordinate the administration of the daily, school bus services. It has formulated operating procedures which allow for the transport of all enrolled bus students attending schools within Mid Canterbury.

The day-to-day work is carried out by an administrator on behalf of the schools involved. The company directors formulate the procedures, set the fees, and monitor the systems to ensure they are kept current and fair for all parties involved.

PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN ENROLLED PREVIOUSLY FOR THE ASTS BUS SERVICE, WILL NEED TO RE-ENROL for the new service.

NEW BUS FEES FOR 2009 onwards

Pupils who live too close to their nearest school will need to pay $50.00 per term, to use the bus service : Pupils who travel out of the TEZ will need to pay up to $60.00 per term. The actual fee amount will be calculated on enrolment.

The fee must paid BEFORE pupils will have access to the bus service. Pupils who enrol, but don't pay the fee, will be refused entry to the bus service until such time as the fee has been received by M.C.S.T.S.

PLEASE NOTE:- DUE TO FLUCTUATING COSTS, SUCH AS FUEL, FEES MAY RISE DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. Any fee increases will only apply to the unpaid portion of fees due.
